A 3D-scanner captures images of an environment just like a photo camera, but with one extra ingredient: it also records the distance from each point to the camera. Therewith creates a virtual 3D-point complex that forms the basis for reconstruction in 3D-software. Afterwards, the images can be viewed digitally in 3D.
Extra-Reality was one of the first companies to put this technology into practice. By means of our own developed equipment and software we can scan rooms, objects and even people and convert them into 3D-models. Subsequently, these models can be viewed and adjusted in virtual reality environments. This is possible via PCs, smartphones or virtual reality glasses.
There are numerous applications and markets for which our 3D-scanning can be used. Examples are: real-estate, construction, architecture, web shops, clothing stores, trade shows, presentations, performances, games, etc.
